Saturday the 25th was the first annual Halloween pet parade at the Clymer Library in Pocono Pines, PA. It was a day of fierce weather, pounding rains and gusty winds. A few of us brave souls attended and were not at all disappointed! Tigger of course was participating, dressed as a pumpkin and flanked by his entourage: mommy Nola, Grandmother Nola and Grandma Ruth. We were the third to arrive, greeted in the community room by a black lab youngster in training for seeing eye dressed as a lifesaver roll, and an adorable little girl in ruffled army fatigues. Right before the start we were joined by a wonderful little terrier, or should I say bumble bee? We all got to sniff and play, many pictures were taken and all the participants were awarded medals! Then the "parents" were treated to spooky dirt and worm pudding cups, popcorn balls and pumpkin painting. It was truly a very bright spot in an otherwise dismal day!!
